About
As an advocate, Alex works with physicians and individuals dealing with a cancer diagnosis to implement a terrain-based approach to their cancer journey. Implementing the Terrain approach isn’t easy and often is counter to what we have learned. Alex’s process in working with clients is to educate and develop an implementation plan and roadmap to health.
Alex is very passionate about helping to heal others. She believes in an integrative, personalized approach that tests, assesses, and addresses.
Alex was introduced into the integrative health approach, when she had health scares of her own. After spending a lot of time and money looking for answers and not getting any, she felt defeated but determined. She finally met with a naturopathic doctor who was able to understand the root cause of her illnesses. As a mother of two young girls, this truly was a miracle. Since then Alex’s passion in integrative, naturopathic and functional medicine has grown tremendously and sent her on a path she didn’t know was available.
As part of learning how to manage her metabolic health, Alex read The Metabolic Approach to Cancer shedding light on the importance of the Terrain approach. Taking that knowledge a step further and going through an intense and immersive course by Dr. Nasha Winters, The Terrain Advocate Program, Alex decided to become Terrain Advocate. Turning pain into purpose, helping people dealing with a cancer process. Alex’s goal is for people dealing with a cancer diagnosis to have the same enlightenment and be empowered to take control of their health; emotionally, mentally, and physically.
