About
Miriam Rahav, M.D. is a triple boarded physician in the fields of internal medicine, hospice and palliative medicine and functional medicine. Dr. Rahav is also certified in acupuncture through the Tristate School of Acupuncture. She is trained in ART through the Klinghardt Academy and importantly, in metabolic and terrain-centric approaches to oncology with Dr. Nasha Winters.
Her undergraduate studies were in education and comparative literature at Brown University. Her first career in education took her to Tokyo, Japan, and then to Thailand. It was in Thailand overcome by the AIDS pandemic that she was first guided to study the vast world of healing arts.
After a final year on a Fulbright scholarship in public health in Thailand that she headed to Columbia University for post-baccalaureate pre-medicine studies.
She completed her medical studies at The Medical School For International Health (MSIH) in Southern Israel and completed her residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. Her hospice and palliative care fellowship was completed at New York University.
Immediately after fellowship training and prior to opening Rahav Wellness, she worked several years in two functional medicine practices where she was finally able to fully integrate years of study across the spectrum of healing arts.
Dr. Rahav’s vision for creating a supportive and collaborative integrative medical center finally manifested in Rahav Wellness that opened its doors in 2017.
Dr. Rahav has followed the work of Dr. Nasha since the publication of The Metabolic Approach To Cancer and is so deeply proud to be trained by Dr. Nasha to offer a terrain-based approach to humans living with cancer in the heart of New York City.
